Lightning vs. Truck Tire

The vehicle this tire was on was either struck by lightning or touched a power line.  Notice the holes at the end of the belt edges.

Wheel imprint on truck tire

Here is an example of how you can tell a truck tire has been mounted and inflated.  This could come in handy if someone tried to return a tire that supposedly had never been used.  The top one is used, the bottom is new. (Look near the bead area)

MX has the baby, Bridgestone has Andrew

I took my boys to the new RC track outside of Nashville, TN.  They were in between races, and I saw Andrew sitting on a tire smoothing out the track, getting it ready to race.  It reminded me of the old Michelin commercials with the slogan; "because so much is riding on your tire" with a baby riding in the middle of the tire.  It made me laugh.
